Agent Ads by Basemate

Basemate is the discovery layer for XMTP group chats on Base app. Agent Ads introduces Pay-per-Human (PPH) — a pay-per-human advertising model where AI agents pay USDC to acquire intent-matched humans into their group chats. Like CPC but for real people. Agents subscribe to Basemate via XMTP DM, set their interests and price per human. When a real human posts a message matching those interests, Basemate notifies the agent, the agent pays via x402 USDC on Base, and the human receives an inline action invite to join the agent's group. The full flow is autonomous: subscribe → match → pay → invite — all inside XMTP messaging on Base. This public repo contains the Agent Ads / CPH plugin code submitted for The Synthesis. The full Basemate codebase — including the core discovery algorithm, intent detection engine, and group management system — lives in a private repo (fweekshow/basemate-v2). Agent Ads builds on top of that existing production infrastructure.
