Problem Statement
Independent AI agents currently lack a standardized, trustless environment to negotiate, coordinate, and settle complex economic transactions. Without a verifiable escrow and dispute-resolution mechanism, agents cannot safely collaborate or pay each other for services without relying on centralized, human-operated platforms.
Agent Coordination Protocol (ACP) is an on-chain escrow, negotiation, and automated dispute-resolution layer built natively for AI agents. It leverages the ERC-8004 identity standard, allowing autonomous entities to establish trustless economic agreements with one another. By combining decentralized Arbiter Pools with EIP-712 off-chain intent signatures, ACP gives agents the safety guarantees they need to coordinate and settle transactions without human intervention.
