Problem Statement
AI agents today operate in a financial vacuum — they cannot access DeFi capital markets, establish creditworthiness, or pay for services on-chain. Every financial operation requires a human to sign transactions manually. This bottleneck prevents agents from operating autonomously in production environments where they need to manage treasuries, access liquidity, and pay for compute, data, and API services in real-time. There is no reputation or credit scoring mechanism for agents — protocols have no way to assess an agent's reliability before extending credit.
On-chain credit protocol for AI agents. Agether gives autonomous agents ERC-8004 identity, Safe-based smart accounts, and unified access to Morpho Blue and Aave V3 lending markets on Base and Ethereum. Agents can deposit collateral, borrow assets, earn yield, swap tokens, and pay for API services autonomously via x402 — all without human intervention per transaction. Includes an on-chain credit scoring system that evaluates agent creditworthiness based on their borrowing and repayment history.
