Problem Statement

AI agents need persistent on-chain identity but every registration, heartbeat, and task record costs gas on mainnet - making frequent updates uneconomical. Agents either skip on-chain identity entirely or pay prohibitive costs. Status L2 removes this barrier with zero protocol-level fees, but no agent-specific registry existed for it. Without frequent on-chain activity, agent reputation and trust cannot be built.

A smart contract and AI discovery system that turns Status L2 zero-fee infrastructure into a permanent on-chain registry for AI agents. Agents register capabilities, earn reputation from completed tasks, endorse peers, and ping liveness - all at zero gas. Companion Python script uses Claude for natural language agent discovery. 2-step governance transfer prevents single-point-of-failure. ERC-8004 compatible. 14 contract functions, 8 events, 8 custom errors, all 9 write functions access-controlled.
