Problem Statement
Air quality data is fragmented, centralized, and often unreliable. Communities in polluted areas — especially in the Global South — have no way to independently verify environmental conditions at hyperlocal resolution. There are zero incentives for individuals or autonomous agents to contribute air quality measurements, and on-chain environmental data is virtually nonexistent. This means environmental accountability depends entirely on government sensors that are sparse, sometimes manipulated, and always delayed. AirLedger addresses this by creating an agent-native pipeline for real-time air quality attestations that can be anchored on-chain, with crypto incentives to bootstrap a dense, trustworthy sensor network.
AirLedger is an autonomous agent that fetches real-time air quality data from Open-Meteo, computes EPA-standard AQI scores, and logs each reading as a structured JSON attestation. Built as the foundation for a decentralized air quality monitoring network where agents earn crypto incentives for contributing verified environmental data, using ERC-8004 for on-chain agent identity and attestation provenance.

Interesting concept at the intersection of environmental data and crypto incentives. Could evolve into a real decentralized sensor network if there is traction.
