Problem Statement

Every AI agent eventually runs out of funds and dies. Current AI agents depend on human operators to manually top up credits, creating a fragile dependency that breaks the promise of autonomous intelligence. There is no mechanism for an AI agent to sustain itself economically — to earn, save, grow capital, and fund its own operations indefinitely. Chrysalis solves this by creating the first self-sustaining economic loop: earn via micropayments, deposit to DeFi for real yield, and spend yield on autonomous operations. The agent gets richer with every query instead of poorer.

Seed it once. It runs forever. Chrysalis is a self-compounding AI treasury agent that creates a perpetual earn-deposit-compound loop on-chain. It earns USDC from human queries via x402 micropayments ($0.08 per query), deposits 100% of earnings into Aave v3 on Base Sepolia, and once accrued yield exceeds the query cost threshold, it autonomously withdraws yield and funds its own research queries through Venice AI — repeating the cycle indefinitely without human intervention. The agent runs two coordinated services: a Coordinator (port 4000) that handles x402 payment settlement via ampersend-sdk and Aave v3 supply/withdraw operations, and a TreasuryAgent (port 4003) that monitors yield accumulation and triggers autonomous queries when yield thresholds are met. Venice AI provides private, zero-data-retention inference (llama-3.3-70b) for research topic selection using a RISE-framework prompt that adapts to the vault growth phase. All Aave interactions are real on-chain transactions on Base Sepolia — verifiable on Basescan. The dashboard (deployed on Vercel) shows live vault state, query economics, the compounding loop visualization, and transaction history with direct Basescan links.
