Problem Statement
Agents are executing actions, spending money, and coordinating with other agents but the result is always a claim, not evidence. There is: - no receipt - no signer - no independent verification This breaks the foundation of the agent economy: - agents cannot safely delegate work - payments cannot be enforced - workflows cannot be audited CommandLayer introduces a missing primitive: verifiable receipts for agent execution, commerce, and coordination
Agents dont produce proof they produce claims. An agent says it completed a task, fetched data, made a decision, or executed a payment. But there is no standard way to prove any of it actually happened. No receipt. No signer. No independent verification. That breaks multi-agent coordination, marketplaces, payments, and audits. CommandLayer turns every agent action into a signed, verifiable receipt. Every execution produces: - canonical JSON receipt - SHA-256 proof hash - Ed25519 signature - ENS-linked signer identity - deterministic verification path This creates a portable proof layer for agent actions. For the hackathon demo, CommandLayer shows both commons and commercial flows: - commons verbs like summarize, classify, analyze, clean, convert, describe, explain, format, parse, and fetch - commercial verbs like authorize, checkout, purchase, ship, and verify The result is simple: agents can now return proof, not just output.

Plans to continue
CommandLayer is targeting the 2028-2029 cycle as the agent economy matures. The ENS verb namespace portfolio (~700 domains) is the long-term position. Immediate roadmap: complete x402 micropayment integration on commercial verbs, batch-deploy all 700 verb endpoints, pursue institutional adoption.
