Problem Statement

Open-source protocols like libp2p are critical Digital Public Infrastructure but suffer from underfunded, unglamorous maintenance work — PR triage, cross-implementation sync, treasury management, contributor onboarding. Human maintainers burn out or move on, leaving protocol health at risk. DPI Guardians deploys five specialized AI agents (Maintainer, Treasury, Community, Support, Review) with on-chain ERC-8004 identities to autonomously handle this work, each with progressive autonomy — starting cautious and earning trust through verifiable on-chain reputation.

A system of specialized AI agents with on-chain identity (ERC-8004) that autonomously maintain libp2p as Digital Public Infrastructure. The agents handle the underfunded, unglamorous maintenance work so humans can focus on protocol innovation and building reputation.
