Problem Statement
Google Maps tracks your location constantly, saves every search query, logs every business interaction, and has paid $7.1B+ in privacy fines. Private alternatives exist (Organic Maps, OsmAnd) but have terrible search quality (~70% accuracy via Nominatim) and no reviews. Yelp faces 2,000+ FTC complaints alleging extortion-style review manipulation. Google removed 240M fake reviews in 2024 alone. There is no maps app that combines private AI-powered search, trustworthy on-chain reviews, and real navigation.
We built a maps app that doesn't track you. Ghost Maps is a private, AI-powered maps app with on-chain reviews, real navigation, and an autonomous Review Guardian agent. Venice AI handles all search reasoning with zero data retention. Google Places enriches results server-side — no user identity is ever attached or stored, not even by us. Reviews are EAS attestations on Base that no business can pay to remove and no platform can filter. The Review Guardian is an autonomous AI agent that monitors the blockchain for new review attestations, reasons about fraud patterns (sybil clusters, spam, coordinated attacks), and publishes transparent verification verdicts as EAS attestations. The agent IS the LLM — reasoning natively about each unique situation with guidelines, not checklists. Its verdicts are public, immutable, and on-chain. Verified reviews earn GHOST tokens (ERC-20 on Base) via a quadratic reward curve (quality² / 100). The Guardian is registered via ERC-8004 with verifiable on-chain identity. The best maps app in the world tracks everything you do, and the biggest review platforms can't stop fakes. We built the alternative to both. 6 deep Venice AI integration points, Coinbase CDP embedded wallets (sign up with email, wallet created automatically behind the scenes), EAS on Base, ERC-8004 agent identity, GHOST ERC-20 rewards. 398 tests. Ghost Maps is live at ghostmaps.app with real on-chain reviews and an active Guardian agent. We stake DIEM (Venice VVV) to fund all AI inference — zero per-query cost. Roadmap: pluralistic Guardian auditing (multiple independent agents publishing competing verdicts), GHOST token on Base mainnet with DEX liquidity, transit directions via GTFS feeds, offline map caching, and React Native mobile app.
