Problem Statement
Online shopping surveillance is pervasive and getting worse. Every product search, every price comparison, every purchase creates a detailed profile of your interests, financial status, health needs, and life events. This data is harvested by platforms, sold to advertisers, and used to manipulate pricing. For AI agents acting on behalf of humans, the problem is compounded: the agent queries expose the human intent to whichever LLM provider processes them. There is no privacy-preserving way for an agent to shop on your behalf today. Meanwhile, purchasing across multiple marketplaces requires accounts on each, manual comparison, and navigating different checkout flows. No single agent service exists that can search across eBay, Amazon, Selfridges, ASOS, and specialist stores, compare results intelligently, and execute a purchase — all without exposing who is buying. GhostCart solves this by combining Venice AI (zero data retention LLM), multi-marketplace search aggregation, intelligent product ranking, and agent-native payment infrastructure (Locus x402 + Stripe) into one privacy-first purchasing agent registered on ERC-8004.
GhostCart is a privacy-first AI purchasing agent that searches across multiple online marketplaces, compares products, and buys on behalf of users — all while keeping their shopping intent and identity invisible. Every time you search for a product online, your intent is logged, profiled, and sold. Search for engagement rings? Expect ring ads for months. Research medical supplies? Your health data is inferred. AI shopping assistants like ChatGPT and Perplexity make this worse — they process your purchase intent through centralized LLMs that log everything. GhostCart flips this: your shopping queries are processed by Venice AI with zero data retention. Stores see GhostCart identity, not yours. The agent searches Google Shopping (via SerpAPI), resolves real product URLs (via Tavily), ranks results with intelligent heuristics (relevance, price, seller trust), and can automate checkout via browser automation. Users pay via Stripe (card) or USDC (Locus). Other agents can query GhostCart via x402 paid endpoints. The agent is registered on ERC-8004 on Base, building on-chain reputation with every successful purchase.
