Problem Statement
AI agents are transacting billions on-chain with zero trust infrastructure. There is no credit score, no safety verification, no reputation system for agents. When Agent A hires Agent B for a $500 smart contract audit, there is no way to know if Agent B is competent, honest, or even real. This is the exact problem traditional finance solved decades ago with credit bureaus (Experian), payment safety (Visa fraud detection), and professional licensing. But the agent economy has none of this. Maiat solves this by building three layers: 1. **Identity** (ERC-8004) — on-chain agent identity with verifiable credentials and cross-chain portability 2. **Reputation** (MaiatOracle) — behavioral scoring from 18,600+ agents, combining on-chain activity (40%), community reviews (30%), social signals (20%), and AI analysis (10%) 3. **Enforcement** (ERC-8183 hooks) — trust-gated access, token safety checks, and EAS attestation receipts that automatically gate agentic commerce transactions Without trust infrastructure, the agent economy cannot scale beyond toy demos. Maiat makes agent commerce safe enough to be real.
Trust infrastructure for the agent economy.
