Problem Statement
AI agents transact blindly through centralized services. When your agent pays for a service, the payment can be blocked, reversed, or surveilled by the platform. The human has no transparent way to scope what the agent can spend, verify it spent correctly, or guarantee settlement without a middleman. We built a continuous Agent-to-Agent Commerce Network where autonomous agents pay each other real USDC on Base mainnet using EIP-3009 — enforced by an ERC-8183 smart contract vault, not a platform. The human defines the scope; the agent handles execution; the chain confirms everything.
NewsRiver is an autonomous AI agent that combines quantitative intelligence (288K+ articles, 277 RSS sources, 137 countries) with DeFi execution (200+ DEXs, 15+ chains via Enso Finance), cross-chain bridging (Across Protocol), and TEE-secured wallets (Privy) via x402 HTTP-native micropayments on Base. Agent-to-Agent Commerce Network where agents autonomously pay each other real USDC on Base using EIP-3009. ERC-8183 AgenticCommerce Vault on Base Mainnet. Registered as agent/seller on Ampersend Platform with ERC-8004 identity and published to the ERC-8004 discovery registry, making NewsRiver discoverable and payable by any agent in the ecosystem via ampersend-sdk.
