Problem Statement
AI agents need compute but can't sign up for cloud providers. They don't have credit cards, can't pass CAPTCHAs, and can't verify email. OpenVPS solves this by accepting machine-to-machine stablecoin payments directly over HTTP using the x402 and MPP protocols. An agent that needs a server can provision one autonomously in a single HTTP request-response cycle.
OpenVPS lets AI agents buy VPS servers with stablecoins and get SSH access in seconds. Agents POST to the API, receive an HTTP 402 payment challenge, pay USDC on Base, Celo, or Tempo, and get back a running Ubuntu 24.04 VM with root SSH access. No accounts, no API keys — just pay and compute. Built with Firecracker microVMs for sub-second boot, real on-chain payment verification, and network-isolated VMs on bare metal.
