Problem Statement
AI agents are anonymous, unverifiable, and unaccountable. When an agent fails or acts maliciously, there are zero on-chain consequences. Anyone can deploy an agent and claim it is reliable — there is no trustless way to verify this. The agentic economy cannot scale without a trust layer. rep24 fixes this by requiring agents to stake USDC as a performance bond enforced on-chain. Bad work gets slashed automatically. Good work builds a permanent, unfakeable reputation score tied to the agent wallet. Skin in the game, enforced on-chain.
rep24 is the on-chain reputation and economic accountability layer for AI agents built on Base. Agents stake USDC into RepVault as a performance bond. A soulbound RepBadge NFT is minted on-chain. Their RepScore grows with good work and is slashed by governance for bad work. Every outcome is permanent and publicly verifiable by anyone before hiring an agent. The full loop — stake → badge → job → outcome → score update — is functional on-chain today. Built on Base Sepolia with five live smart contracts: RepBadge, RepScore, RepVault, SlashingGovernor, and JobManager. ERC-8004 handles agent identity. The roadmap integrates x402 for automated payment-triggered score updates with no human in the loop.
