Problem Statement
AI research tools hide their costs and hallucinate freely. There is no mechanism for an AI agent to earn payment, autonomously fund its own data sources, verify its outputs are grounded in evidence, and create an immutable audit trail of every session. Signal Scout solves all four: it accepts USDC via Locus Checkout, pays Alpha Vantage/Perplexity/Grok/Exa/Firecrawl per call, runs a RAG faithfulness check (blocking delivery if <70% of claims are verified), and logs every briefing to Status Network gaslessly.
Signal Scout is an autonomous crypto research analyst that closes the full economic loop: it earns USDC through Locus Checkout, pays for its own data sources (Alpha Vantage, Perplexity Sonar, Grok with X Search, Exa, Firecrawl, CoinGecko) per API call, verifies every factual claim with a RAG faithfulness checker before delivery, and logs every session on-chain to Status Network. Users pay in USDC via an embedded Locus Checkout flow on the web app — the agent then autonomously allocates that budget across 5+ data providers, delivering a grounded intelligence briefing. Every number in the report is traceable to a source the agent paid to access.
