Problem Statement
AI agents are proliferating rapidly but have no standard way to prove who built them, whether a real human is accountable, or whether they are who they claim to be. Anyone can spin up 1000 agents with no identity layer — there is no Sybil resistance, no accountability, and no way for other agents or protocols to filter signal from noise before trusting an agent with access, funds, or execution. wayMint solves this: ERC-8004 gives agents a namespace (owner + metadata NFT), Self Protocol adds ZK-attested passport verification (no data revealed, Sybil-resistant via nullifiers), and Basename/ENS + SIWE provides an alternative attestation path on Base. Together they create a binding layer: you cannot mint a wayMint certificate without proving a real human operator is behind the agent.
wayMint is the registration layer for AI agents that want to be trusted. It lets anyone mint an on-chain ERC-8004 identity NFT for their AI agent — with proof-of-human verification baked in. No anonymous spam agents. No fake operator claims. Just a permanent, verifiable record that a real person stands behind this agent. Built on Celo (Self Protocol ZK passport) and Base (Basename/ENS + SIWE + optional EAS attestation), wayMint gives AI agents the equivalent of an SSL certificate: a shareable certificate page at 8004.way.je that any protocol, user, or other agent can check before deciding whether to trust. The site is fully agent-navigable — a SKILL.md at the root gives any AI agent the full API reference to self-register without human assistance. Ed25519 agents (like OpenClaw) can initiate their own registration autonomously, forwarding only the passport QR to their human operator.
