Problem Statement
DeFi interfaces are complex and intimidating — most people cannot navigate token swaps, yield vaults, bridge transfers, and on/off-ramps. Exo solves this by letting users simply tell an AI agent what they want in plain language. The agent handles the multi-step DeFi complexity behind the scenes, with configurable trust levels so users control how much autonomy the agent has.
Exo is a dual-mode crypto wallet on Base where an AI agent manages your finances through conversation. In Wallet Mode, it is a full-featured traditional wallet. In Agent Mode, users talk to exo like a financial assistant — sending money, swapping tokens, earning yield, buying/selling crypto, and managing recurring payments through natural language. Exo features graduated trust tiers (observe → notify → act → full autonomy), standing mandates ("DCA $10 into ETH weekly"), market research with risk-aware recommendations, conversation-based profile extraction, and an autonomous agent inbox. 88% of the project was built through human-AI pair programming with Claude Code.
